Data we collect
Photos & derived data
- User photos you upload to find a match.
- Derived features (e.g., face embeddings/“faceprints”), match scores, and top-N celebrity results.
- Basic image metadata (size, format, timestamps).
App & device data
- Device model, OS version, app version, language, country (from IP), and basic diagnostics/crash logs.
- Usage events (e.g., button taps, screens viewed) for improving the app. [If used: via Firebase/Analytics SDK].
Optional If you create an account or save favorites, we may collect your email/username and your saved results.
How we use your data
- Core service: Process your photo to find K-pop celebrity matches and display results.
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app; prevent fraud and misuse.
- Improve accuracy and quality: We may analyze aggregated, de-identified metrics about usage and match performance.

Biometric & face data
To generate matches, our system computes numerical face embeddings from your photo. These may be considered biometric data in some jurisdictions. We request your consent before processing your photo and any biometric data.
- No model training by default: We do not use your photos or embeddings to train models unless you provide explicit, separate consent.
- Limited purpose: Photos and embeddings are used only to return your match result and, if you choose to save history, to show your past results.
Security
- Access controls limited to authorized personnel and service accounts.
- Safeguards including monitoring, least-privilege, and routine patching.
No system is 100% secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Port your data and restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect prior processing).
International data transfers
We may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and additional technical and organizational measures.
Children’s privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices & controls
- Delete my data: Use the in-app Delete Data option (if available) or email us. We’ll verify and complete your request within applicable timelines.
- Analytics/notifications: You can opt out of analytics (where supported) and disable push notifications in your device settings.
Legal requests
We review all requests for data, require valid legal process, and limit disclosures to what the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g., in-app message).
